Tony's previous experience includes business policy manager of New Zealand Seafood Industry Council, business innovation and quota manager Aotearoa Fisheries Ltd (now Moana New Zealand), FishServe founding CEO (a seafood industry owned company delivering statutory administrative and registry services on contract to Government).

He is currently a Director and Shareholder in Terra Moana Limited, Chair of the Paua 2 Industry Association, an Associate fellow of the NZ Institute of Management. Tony is also the creator of Fish4all, the Fisho's Best Mate a New Zealand recreational fishing reporting app.

Tony’s work within the Moana Project is based around the understanding of the historical relationship between water column temperature and fish stock performance and behaviour and Māori seafood business financial performance.
