Pietro is a British-Italian MSc oceanography graduate and has been working as an Oceanographic Data Analyst with the Moana Project since December 2019.

Over the past months he has helped the Data Team with applying quality control to existing XBT and CTD data which will be assimilated into the Moana Backbone Model. Using this data, he has been investigating the vertical variability and length scales of New Zealand's coastal region.
