Dr Carine Costa

MetOcean Solutions, Oceanographer

Carine is a physical oceanographer, with experience in nearshore and continental shelf hydrodynamics and modelling. She has a PhD from the University of Sao Paulo, where she worked on the development of the first coastal ocean forecasting system for Southeast Brazil. At MetOcean Solutions she is working with improving our hydrodynamic modelling capabilities in both hindcast and forecast areas.

As part of the Ngā Ripo o Te Moana team, Carine is contributing to the development of the operational hydrodynamic forecasts around New Zealand.
